In many Aboriginal cultures, there is no clear distinction between the physical and spiritual aspects of the land. Ngurra embodies a holistic understanding of place, where the land is not just a geographic location but a living, breathing entity with which people are intrinsically connected. This bond is a fundamental part of identity, belonging, and responsibility — people care for the land, and in turn, the land nurtures and sustains them.
